Shaq and rapper, Tyga stars in new Foot Locker Reebok commercial.

I don't really have a reason to want a "conversation lift," but I want one. Who would say no to a super stool.

Kevin Durants gets drafted #1 in new Nike commercial.

Not to take away anything from Kevin Durant, but he really can't be anything other than a shirt. I mean, how else is he going to cover up those business tattoos and the tragic misspelling on the his back (which he did fix later).

Fans toss shoes at Mike Miller at the Heat Championship Celebration.

Who throws a shoe? Via: Reddit
Socks are probably the more appropriate tribute to Mike Miller's one shoe three pointer, considering that most retailers sell shoes in pairs and Mike was wearing A LOT of socks, enough to actually compensate a missing shoe. Which is a a lot.

Michael Jordan threw away a pair of Bow Wow's Allen Iverson signature shoes.

I think we all remember the legendary crossover that marked the start of Allen Iverson's ground breaking NBA career, because according to Bow Wow, it sure doesn't seem like Michael Jordan has forgotten. (For those of you that maybe younger or have just started to follow NBA basketball, Allen Iverson crossed up Michael Jordan in 1997, his rookie year.)

(Bow Wow) I’m  actually real cool with his sons, Marcus and Jeffrey…I would say, we kinda grew up together. Being on tour, every time we came to Chicago, even at the age of like 15, they would come around and we just clicked.
There’d be times I stayed over at the family, ya know, Mr. Jordan’s house…actually a funny story, I actually wore some Iverson’s to their house…and Michael Jordan woke us all up and was like ‘Whose is these?’…and I was like ‘they’re mine’…and I never saw My A.I.’s after that moment. I was in some Jordan’s going down to play some basketball.

To be fair, Bow Wow kind of deserved it for wearing Allen Iverson's jersey through out "Like Mike," while schooling dudes in his magical Michael Jordan sneakers. And probably also for making me think he was the coolest dude in early 2000's. (Don't give me that look. Mind you, I was still in elementary school at that time. It was a very normal thing.)

Want to jump as high as Gerald Green? Get the Reebok Pump shoes.

Because genetic ability has nothing to do with it. (This is not an advertisement, I promise. Gerald Green is surprising convincing though.)

Dwyane Wade gave himself the worst nickname in NBA history.

There is a short list of NBA players that don't abide to the unwritten rule of given nicknames. Kobe Bryant is infamously one of them, calling himself the "Black Mamba" without anyone actually ever calling him it, prior to the name's existence. There is obviously Shaq, who has thousands of nicknames with unknown origins. And now we can add his former teammate, Dwyane Wade to that list.

From The Palm Beach Post (Via SLAM):

LeBron James was so amused by Dwyane Wade’s new self-proclaimed nickname that he dared Wade to reveal it to the media before doing so himself.
“It’s ‘WOW,’ Way of Wade,” James said, referring to the slogan for Wade’s Li-Ning shoes. “I think it’s corny.”
Wade, who discarded the “Flash” nickname two years ago, did not concur.
Wow?
“I’m taking it global!” he shouted.

Not all that surprising, seeing that his sense in fashion is pretty much a reflection of his poor taste. Just look at his new shoe logo, I am not going to say it, but it looks a lot like something humans have, to get rid of bodily wastes. That, and it eerily resembles the flag of Greendale Community College.

What happened to the Dwyane Wade that was still with Converse? I miss that guy, he was cool and the shoes were better too.

James Harden and Kris Humphries in a New Foot Locker Commercial.

It's great that Kris Humphries can still laugh at himself. Even though he made a terrible life changing decision that has made him one of the most hated men in the NBA. His 72-day marriage with a certain reality star did get him on this commercial. And since everyone will always remember him for the incident anyway (I mean you can never forget it, because Kanye just won't shut up), embracing your inner and outer douche bag is the probably right way to go about it.

Kevin Durant gave one of his shoes away to a fan.

Look at Mr. Nice Guy here. You really can't hate him, except for when he destroys your team and put up 20 points effortlessly.

That kid has some big shoe to fill, haha. I'm sorry.

Learn How the World Works in Kobe Bryant's New Nike Kobe 8 Shoe Commerical.

Kobe Bryant always have the best commercials, this one was a little weird and random, but when you make shoe snakes, you win. It even includes a baking recipe.

After checking with my local grocery store, I have concluded that everything on that list of ingredients are in fact non-existent, except for the Mamba egg. Which I do not intend to acquire, because I believe that at some point in my life, my doctor probably advised against stealing an egg from the fastest and venomous snake in the world.

My favorite Kobe commercial is still the Puppet campaign that Nike did earlier in 2009, Ankle Insurance would be a close second and the Kobe System was just a little better than this one.

A Video of Matt Bonner hitting trick shots all over the Spurs practice facility.

Matt Bonner is the best. He is one of those few NBA players that are real human beings and could easily be related to. I mean it is perfectly normal to love a good sandwich and new balance basketball shoes, even though they don't make them anymore. This video was done in part for the Canada Basketball 90th Anniversary and you might ask why Matt Bonner is part of this despite being born in the States. Well, when he came down to Toronto to play for the Raptors, besides becoming a fan favorite, he met some friends that eventually hooked him up with his now, wife. After obtaining Dual Citizenship (in both U.S. and Canada), Matt has often expressed his interest to betray his birth country to play for us (Canadians) because he loved this country and not totally because he will never make the U.S. squad. I am fine with that, the Canadian team needs all the help they can get, so why not add a 6 foot 10, three point shooter that led the NBA in three pointer percentage in the 2010-2011 season. It doesn't hurt that he can hit shots sitting down and off the walls.

Kobe Bryant would force Shaq to present his NBA Jersey retirement.

Despite the 3 Championships (one questionable), we all know Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'neal were not the best of friends during their time as Lakers and that is why this was hilarious.

Even though, Shaq has repeatedly called Kobe, his "boy," I highly doubt their relationship is on good terms. But knowing Shaq, he will probably do it just for attention. If he does refuse, there is always Smush Parker, because you know Kobe has a long list of "friends" to choose from.

Spike Lee bought Pablo Prigioni Knicks colored shoes.

If you play for the New York Knicks, Spike Lee will not allow you to Lakers colored shoes. I am sure in between all of Pablo's beautiful broken English, he really appreciates the gift. But he totally wasted Spike's effort because he stuck with his old shoes for the Houston game. Hey, at least he is in America, where he can get Nike ID. Canada never gets the cool things.

Carmelo Anthony destroys a bunch of 8 years olds.

NBA players playing basketball against kids is always entertaining. But in Melo's case, his recent success maybe because he is using the ol' picturing your opponent in/as something else technique and this commercial has more meaning than intended. All I took from it was that Melo never passed to any of his teammates.

Iman Shumpert raps with a shoe on his head.

.. And wore his Carmelo Anthony jersey backwards. The youngsters these days have one hell of a take on fashion. But I am not here to teach him how to wear his clothes properly, I just want you to know that he is the best NBA rapper. Sorry Stephen Jackson, please don't tweet me a threat.

Kyrie Irving cuts his nails, reads, naps, eats, and shaves during a cinematic dunk.

Kyrie Irving decided to stray from the norm, and used his time wisely while in flight to a spectacular dunk. It is about time we get some change, I am sick of the same old slow motion dunk that always features a man maintaining an intense facial expression, never allowing his eyes to blink, enlarging his mouth/sticking his tongue out according to the distance, dramatic arm windings and the beads of sweat leaving him on the way to the rim. It is all played out, if Kyrie would have actually finished the dunk, it would have been the greatest dunk of all time. Unfortunately we will have to settle for the greatest lay up of all time.

Chris Paul destroy human beings in sweat pants.

FACT: Doesn't matter how you defend Chris Paul, you can throw double teams, triples, whatever you can think of, Chris will get through it all and embarrass you while doing so.

Pro-Tip: Don't open up your defensive stance too wide, you are just asking for that ball to go right between your legs, save yourself some pride.

New Chris Paul Commercial is Weird.

This is supposed to be CP3's new shoe commercial, but instead of the typical player in their own shoes destroying their opponents in slow motion. Jordan Brand opted out to do an unusual freeze frame line of 90 fake Chris Pauls, across Venice beach, with the real all star no where in sight. Just a weird concept man, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

More Rookie Hazing: Reggie Evans punishes Tyshawn Taylor.

The Brooklyn Nets are on a roll with this hazing stuff, first Marshon Brooks and now Tyshawn Taylor.

Poor Tyshawn was just trying to get a workout in a under water tread mill, when Reggie couldn't find the paper on the coffee table and decides to throw the rookie's clothes in to the water.

Secret NBA fashion competition: Russell Westbrook VS. Dwyane Wade!

Uhhh, yea....
http://jocksandstilettojill.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/Russell-Westbrook.jpg
Just when I thought Russell Westbrook can not get any crazier with his fashion statements, he steps it up. This is just insane, but I think there is a reason for this. We all agree (unless you find a compelling argument) that the other most popular "stylish" NBA player is Dwyane Wade, who is a member of the Miami Heat that defeated Westbrook's Oklahoma City Thunder. By my research, I have come to a conclusion that there MUST be a competition between the two All-Stars, and the objective is to top each others wackiest clothing. I for one, am looking forward to Wade's answer to that crazy tight leopard shirt.

Someone needs to tell Dwyane Wade that his socks, in fact do not have swag.

If you follow Dwyane Wade on twitter, your feed will more than likely be occupied with the basketball player showcasing his unique "fashion choices." Yes, we have seen him in hot pink pants, those despised hipster glasses, and that sticker with his last name on his face but nothing is more weird than his recent sudden obsession with socks. I don't know if he saw RGIII's collection and got super jealous, but here some of the pictures I have compiled through his twitter and some Google searches.

I am guessing he borrowed his girlfriend's socks.

Summer colors with winter boots?

I see you paparazzi, get a close up on my socks.

The socks look like a shirt my dad worn in the 70's.

You should just throw these into the fire.

Possibly the most ill matched combination.

Ugh.
It is not just that the socks are just ridiculous, its just how ill matching they are with the shoes. With the millions of dollars you earn every year, for the love of god, get matching socks!
