Matt Bonner knows two ways to get on SportsCenter Top 10.

An excerpt from Matt Bonner's Q&A on Hardwood Paroxysm:
Do you feel obligated to make a shot after someone gives you a really special pass, like behind-the-back? From a spectator’s standpoint, it always feels like a supreme let down when players don’t make a shot on great passes. Do you feel the same way?
Absolutely.  For me, there are basically 2 ways I can make the SC Top 10.  The first is getting dunked on (i.e. Blake Griffin).  And the second, is if Manu hits me with some ridiculous cross-court-bullet-no-look-behind-the-back-pass and I somehow catch it and make the ensuing wide-open shot.
Please check out the rest of the article here for things like this:
Who would win in a staring contest: Tim Duncan or Kawhi Leonard?
Kawhi would win because he is 14 years younger and would most likely out live Tim.
Matt Bonner is the Best. #LetBonnerShoot. (In the 3-point contest)

Cliff Paul interviews his twin brother, Chris Paul.

Anyone surprised by how big this Cliff Paul thing blew up? It's not a bad thing, maybe we will get a mini-series out of it. Everybody has already fallen in love with the mustache.

Metta World Peace had a hilarious exchange with the media.

"... They don’t want the pressure. Not only do I want the pressure. I’m going to crush the pressure, bite the pressure and drink the pressure. Then piss it out.” - Metta World Peace, 2013.

The Brooklyn Nets tries to speak Russian, while struggling to pinpoint Russia on the map.

Geez, guys. Did you all skip geography class in school? Granted, they are super boring, but you have got to  know where the largest country in the world is. Circling the entire Eurasia is not good enough. If I were them, I would go on that Google thing, and get to know a little about Russia. Just so when the time comes, and Mr. Mikhail Prohrov makes a joke with Russian references, I can laugh at it and avoid getting executed by one of Mikhail Prokhorov's gangster buddies. Say what you want, I just want to keep my fingers on my hand.

The Los Angeles Clippers listened to Trinidad James's "All Gold Everything" before every game in their 17 game winning streak.

"Don't believe me just watch."

At least they know it is embarrassing. They did not want to say the name of it, and if you have heard the song, you can probably guess why. Man, it seems like a lot of fun to be a Clipper, even though you have to play for a disgrace of a human being. Nobody wants to touch Donald Sterling, you might just get a little racism and indecency rubbed on to you through physical contact. I hope they have their Purell ready.

Just a heads up Blake, it is totally not cool to rip Will and Jazz's handshake from Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. There are a few things in the world that can not be touched and that is one of them.

Zach Randolph, Human Bear is afraid of cats.

Zach Randolph has been in house arrest for battery, juvy for receiving stolen guns, and arrested for underage drinking. He was once part of the notorious Jailblazers, but since leaving Portland, he has cleaned up his act. The city of Memphis embraces him as the face of the franchise now and loves the work of the gentle giant on and off the court. But it is still shocking to hear that this 6 foot 9, 260 pound man is deathly afraid of cats.

From ESPN:
Like you, I’m a dog lover. On a possibly related note, I feel, in my heart of hearts, that cats are evil. Feel me?

Naw, you’re right: You can’t be both a dog lover and a cat lover. I’ve got a crazy phobia about cats. For some reason, I’m always thinking they’re going to scratch me. If a cat walks up, I’m going, “Oh no, this dude about to scratch me -- I know it!” Cats scare the hell out of me. I love animals, but I’m no cat lover. Guys usually aren’t.
I am with Z-Bo on this one, there is something about cats that just doesn't sit right. I know cats are secretly planning for world domination. If we don't stop them one day, we, humans will be enslaved by the evil feline overlords. Here are a few reasons why I came into such a conclusion:
  • First off, they look evil, I will never trust those deceiving eyes.
  • They are always staring you down, trying to size you up for when their evil plans go into action.
  • Cats have already seized control of the internet, so they have access to everyone's information.
  • These animals were once treated as Gods in Ancient Egypt, they were even mummified. Don't you think they want to regain that control again. What are you going to do against cat mummies. The right answer is nothing, you can't fight it off.
  • According to scientists, Cats mimic human babies to manipulate you. That purr you hear, don't fall for it, walk any closer and those claws will be in your Jugulars in a second.
  • Haven't you seen Cats & Dogs, they have a secret criminal organization, with ninja cats. Not to mention, they kidnapped a whole family to get their hands on a cure for allergic reactions to dogs, so they can reverse the formula to make everyone allergic to their Canine enemies.
  • Also have you ever seen an evil villain that strokes a dog instead of a cat, because I haven't. If these were not enough to convince you that cats are nefarious creatures, than good luck to you.
Personally, I rather not take my chances.

A Few On-Air slip ups from Kenneth Faried and Matt Harpring from last night.

If you have a television or any idea how sports broadcasting works, you know that game are live and people make mistakes. These mistakes depending on severity can cost your job, but in most cases they make for hilarious YouTube clips.

Fresh off the victory over the Orlando Magic, Kenneth Faried was a little surprised to hear that he finished with a ridiculous 19 points and 19 boards in the Pepsi Center.

Nothing really unacceptable, as long as you don't go Shaq mode, you won't run into problems anytime soon.

Kenneth Faried wasn't the only one though, Matt Harpring, a player turned "Analyst," accidentally confessed to drinking an alcoholic beverage during the Charlotte Bobcats vs. Utah Jazz game, which is understandable. If working for the Bobcats doesn't entitle you to alcohol, why is anyone working for them, am I right?

Nice recovery Matt, you totally did not make things worst.

Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan Video Bombs Chris Paul's Interview.

Someone needs to makes a Step Brothers sequel with Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan and don't let Jamal Crawford come between them. After all, these two are BFFFFs.

Enjoy your Football Sunday, everyone.

Coach Greg Popovich is burdened by Stephen Jackson, because "all he does is Twitters."

Eric Gray/AP Photo
If you know anything about Stephen Jackson, it is his temper and reputation of being a head case that clashes with all the coaches he has ever had, with the exception of one. Out of every person (maybe Nellie in that miraculous 07' run) that had Jackson in his roster, only Greg Popovich managed to keep him under control and make him into an effective member off the bench. But as good as things goes, it doesn't always mean they don't get into each other faces.

From Dwain Price of Full Court Press:
San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich was doing an interview after this morning's shoot around at the American Airlines Center when he looked over and saw forward Stephen Jackson typing something on his cell phone.

"Jack's a pain in the (butt),'' Popovich said. "Look at him, all he does is twitters.

"He's twittering some stuff right now that'll probably get him fined, and then I've got to call the league and talk to the league and say, 'Yeah, I talked to him.' ''
I believe the correct term is "tweeting." I want to him get his terms right just in case he decides to get on this social media platform and make everyone's day with 140 characters or less. It would be the greatest account created. Imagine him responding to the Jackson's threat to Serge Ibaka, the comedic potential is endless. He can even use the millions of Coach Pop's reaction .GIFs to reply to everything, thus taking his media trolling to a whole new level.

Jackson then chimed in and said: "It's not Twitter. It's Instagram.''
Just because the two cut ties on their once successful partnership, doesn't mean it is not basically the same thing. Besides (if you follow him on twitter) all he does with instagram is taking screenshots of a daily prayer he wrote/find and of course the occasional trask talking that have stopped as of late.

The Spurs are the most exciting on and off court team of the NBA. Please never change.

Angry DeMarcus Cousins "talks" about his recent suspension from the Sacramento Kings.

DeMarcus Cousins of the Sacramento Kings haven't played a basketball game in a week, he was suspended for one game by the team on December 21st after a verbal altercation with the King's head coach, Keith Smart at halftime. But even though the suspension was lifted on Christmas Eve, Cousins did not travel with the team to Portland to play the Blazers and there are no reports that confirm that he would be playing against the New York Knicks tonight.

Great interview bro, you totally answered those questions. Just a thought, maybe top being a dick and respond to reporters in a professional manner.  This is why people think you are immature, you have hold your composure. There is only one person in the league allowed to that type of crap to reporters and his name is Greg Popovich. Is this a sign? They do need someone after Tim Duncan.

Kobe Bryant doesn't think he is a ball hog.

Howard Smith - US Presswire
From ESPN:
"I wouldn't say I'm a ball hog. I'm a shooter. I don't necessarily hog the ball, but I put them up though. I definitely much rather shoot it than pass it. That's just how I am."
 This is GOLD.
"I'm a scorer, man. You don't get 30,000 points without knowing how to put yourself in positions to shoot it. The ball just finds scorers and I can always, no matter what system you're in, you can always find a way. Getting up 30 shots ain't easy. A lot of people don't know how to do that. That's what I do. It's like superheroes. Superman can fly. Spider-Man has webs. Steve can pass. I shoot. … I get 'em up! I make no bones about it. That's what I do. That's what I do. Some nights they fall, some nights they don't. But, Rodman was a rebounder, Coop was a defender, I'm a shooter." With that, he added a laugh.
Just a thought, they might fall at a better rate if you don't take shots in double teams.

His teammates obviously don't love it either, Metta World Peace gives us his thoughts:
“When it turns into the Kobe show, it’s hard for everybody to put pressure on. When we put pressure on the other team, all five guys out there, they’ve got to use their legs. Anybody that uses a treadmill, they know you get tired after a while. After an hour, you want to get off that treadmill. Sometimes when we play, Kobe is the only man running on the treadmill and everybody else is relaxing."
Forget defense, the Lakers needs to work on their analogies.

Frustrated Kobe Bryant don't know why the Lakers are losing.

Defense?

If you are wondering, this is what he said that got censored:
It is still only December, but if they want to get anywhere near .500 (LAL is 9-13 right now), they have a lot of work to do, until then let the Lakers struggle jokes continue.

Kevin Garnett didn't get a single rebound against the 76ers, and he wasn't too happy about it.

@NBAGuru
In the second of the weird back to back game with 76ers, Kevin Garnett had 19 points (9 of 11 from the field) and ZERO rebounds. The last time that happened was in 97', which is about 1,160 games ago. When he found out that a statistician did not give him a rebound he thought he had in the first quarter, you can probably guess that he was not too happy about it. (Skip to 1:25 for his rant).

Besides that Craig Sager moment, I never thought Kevin Garnett was one of the funny dudes in the NBA. He just seems so intense all the time, maybe he wasn't joking, maybe the statistician is in a wheel chair because he didn't give in to KG's petty demands, I don't know. He does watch a lot of Family Guy, so I can imagine the violence and gore would subliminally affect him.

Stephen Jackson threatens to go in Serge Ibaka's mouth.

We all know Stephen Jackson and Metta World Peace are bros, they played in Indiana together when MWP was still Ron Artest. They went through Malice in Palace together, and even though Stephen Jackson knew he was putting his NBA career in danger, he still fought with Ron Artest because he protects his family.

So when Serge Ibaka got a little too close in MWP's mug, Captain Jack took upon twitter to call him out.

While Jackson is not the most physically intimidating player compared to the likes of Ibaka, he is a real scrappy dude and everyone he played with have all said they wouldn't want to be on the opposite side in a fight. I have seen him beat dudes to a pulp and would never doubt his abilities, but if I was Serge Ibaka how are you suppose to be scared of a guy that admitted his guilty pleasure song was Ashlee Simpsons' pieces of me.

For real. That is actually what he said in the recent interview with ESPN. And apparently he listens to it right before games. My whole world just exploded, along with the coffee that I spewed out of my mouth when I read the article. I can not believe this, a guy that got into a club fight, hit by a car at 45 mph, lost all his teeth and had plastic surgery on his lip without anesthesia listens to Ashlee Simpson to relax before games. Excuse me while I curl up into a ball and allow this emotional roller coaster that I am experience to sit for a minute.

Jeremy Lin was mistaken for Ron Jeremy.

Yep, there are definitely similarities between Jeremy Lin and Ron Jeremy, one is a NBA point guard that became the story of the league for 2 weeks and the other is a famous adult film actor, it is like they are the same person. Honest mistake.

And way to go Jeremy Lin, enforcing every single Asian stereotype possible.

Note: To the people leaving Rush Hour jokes on the video, please stop, it is not funny and they can never compare to that broken English and high pitch voice.

Raymond Felton never got into the weight room until this season.

That picture was taken 4 months ago, before the New York Knicks swept up the rest of the NBA, going undefeated for 7 straight games. Last year, Raymond Felton came in to the shortened lockout season out of shape for the Portland Trail Blazers. He even admitted he relaxed because he didn't think there would be a season. It was totally unprofessional, he became somewhat of a internet joke and was hated by every Blazer fan. It also really bothers me that his job was to ONLY stay in game shape, instead he ballooned up over the summer, and stuffed a few too many cupcakes in his face.

In a recent interview with the New York Post, Raymond FAT-ton explained how he got back in game shape in 4 months.
I’m probably in the best shape I’ve been in since college, since the first year I got into the NBA. I feel like I’m back to 21 years old starting off with the Charlotte Bobcats.
This is what he looked like as a Bobcat. Yea, pretty hard to believe, he once looked athletic and it went downhill from there.

Doug Benc/Getty Images North America
 To follow up:
... Probably getting in the weight room, something I never did in my life (chuckle). I did a lot of running ... training two times, three times a day ... and then I had a great chef on board. I didn’t drink nothing but water for like three months.
Seriously? A professional athlete like yourself, did not work out until your 10th season in the league. Unless you are Kevin Durant, you have no excuses. At least you are playing great in New York right now, but that doesn't mean the fat jokes will stop.

Gregg Poppovich kills another reporter.

Classic Gregg Popovich moment, completely ignoring the question and making a complete ass out of David Aldridge on national television. David should consider himself lucky, because he did manage to get more than 5 words out of Coach Pop and that doesn't happen often. So much for the promise Pop made with his wife to be nicer to the reporters, guess he will get his end of complains at home.

Get to know Brooklyn Net's owner, Mikhail Prokhorov.

From GQ
On the surface, Mikhail Prokhorov is a Russian billionaire that happens to own a basketball team and has connections to the gangsters in his home-country, no biggie. Just by that short bio, many would be scared out of their mind to even approach him in the wrong way, but to my surprise he is actually pretty cool, at least from this recent interview with the New York Post.

The following are excerpts from the original article:
Even on vacation, it’s very intense. I do sports of different kinds for up to eight hours a day. My posse usually needs another vacation after a vacation with me.
That's tough, but I am up for it, take me to one of your French $30 million vacation that you have reportedly taken your posse to.
I’m much more like my mother. She was cool as a cucumber, as you say in English. In Russian, we say calm as a boa constrictor!
Way to put a new twist to the in Soviet Russia jokes.
I have said that if the Nets don’t win the NBA championship within five years, I will punish myself by getting married. We are in year three. So no one is more interested in winning a championship than yours truly.
Poor you, having to date and marry models.
Q: Which actor would you want to play you in the movie about your life and why?
A: Chris Rock or Danny DeVito. For obvious physical resemblance.
Oh man, this billionaire got jokes.
Q: People you haven’t met and would like to meet?
A: This person called Honey Boo Boo is at the top of my list at the moment.
Of his hit list! As bad as honey boo boo is, she is still just a little girl, stop your gangster bros before this gets out of hand.
Benjamin Franklin because I feel I know him already. During the wild 90’s, when there was no real banking system, Russia had more $100 bills in circulation than any country in the world!
The most billionaire thing to be said by a billionaire.
Q: Favorite sports movie?
A: All the “Rocky” movies, except the one where he beats up on the Russian, of course.
This man exuberates Russian pride like no other.

There we have it, the most interesting NBA Owner in the world.
