Zach Randolph, Human Bear is afraid of cats.

Zach Randolph has been in house arrest for battery, juvy for receiving stolen guns, and arrested for underage drinking. He was once part of the notorious Jailblazers, but since leaving Portland, he has cleaned up his act. The city of Memphis embraces him as the face of the franchise now and loves the work of the gentle giant on and off the court. But it is still shocking to hear that this 6 foot 9, 260 pound man is deathly afraid of cats.

From ESPN:
Like you, I’m a dog lover. On a possibly related note, I feel, in my heart of hearts, that cats are evil. Feel me?

Naw, you’re right: You can’t be both a dog lover and a cat lover. I’ve got a crazy phobia about cats. For some reason, I’m always thinking they’re going to scratch me. If a cat walks up, I’m going, “Oh no, this dude about to scratch me -- I know it!” Cats scare the hell out of me. I love animals, but I’m no cat lover. Guys usually aren’t.
I am with Z-Bo on this one, there is something about cats that just doesn't sit right. I know cats are secretly planning for world domination. If we don't stop them one day, we, humans will be enslaved by the evil feline overlords. Here are a few reasons why I came into such a conclusion:
  • First off, they look evil, I will never trust those deceiving eyes.
  • They are always staring you down, trying to size you up for when their evil plans go into action.
  • Cats have already seized control of the internet, so they have access to everyone's information.
  • These animals were once treated as Gods in Ancient Egypt, they were even mummified. Don't you think they want to regain that control again. What are you going to do against cat mummies. The right answer is nothing, you can't fight it off.
  • According to scientists, Cats mimic human babies to manipulate you. That purr you hear, don't fall for it, walk any closer and those claws will be in your Jugulars in a second.
  • Haven't you seen Cats & Dogs, they have a secret criminal organization, with ninja cats. Not to mention, they kidnapped a whole family to get their hands on a cure for allergic reactions to dogs, so they can reverse the formula to make everyone allergic to their Canine enemies.
  • Also have you ever seen an evil villain that strokes a dog instead of a cat, because I haven't. If these were not enough to convince you that cats are nefarious creatures, than good luck to you.
Personally, I rather not take my chances.

Andre Drummond and the Pistons' Mascot Gets into a Lightsaber Fight in the new Star Wars movie.

George Lucas is at at it again, making more changes to to his classic Star Wars film franchise. He has dedicated his latest work to his beloved Detroit Pistons basketball team. Here's a sneak peak at the newly revised movie. Warning: Contains spoilers. R2-D2 dies and so does Yoda.

Looks like in this sequel, Andre Drummond will be playing General Grievous (because their body matches up perfectly), who has apparently joined with the Jedi forces, while Hooper will continue his Galactic conquest as Darth Vader.

Hey George, if you need any movie posters, I got you.

Tracy McGrady did his best Metta World Peace impression, elbows opponent in CBA game.

When you are 0-7, down 22 points and just got facialed by some nobody, you can kind of understand the frustration Tracy McGrady was facing. But for the opponent to pull out the Dikembe Mutombo finger wag for the wrong reason, an elbow to the sternum was rightfully deserved. T-Mac was just teaching him how to use that taunt correctly.

Perhaps my bro, Boromir can put this in a better way.

I mean, his teammates didn't even bother to stand up for him. Maybe T-Mac is just that badass.
(No, I do not condone his behavior, I just feel for the guy. He might have been one of the greatest players, if his career wasn't crippled with injuries).

Kevin Garnett didn't get a single rebound against the 76ers, and he wasn't too happy about it.

@NBAGuru
In the second of the weird back to back game with 76ers, Kevin Garnett had 19 points (9 of 11 from the field) and ZERO rebounds. The last time that happened was in 97', which is about 1,160 games ago. When he found out that a statistician did not give him a rebound he thought he had in the first quarter, you can probably guess that he was not too happy about it. (Skip to 1:25 for his rant).

Besides that Craig Sager moment, I never thought Kevin Garnett was one of the funny dudes in the NBA. He just seems so intense all the time, maybe he wasn't joking, maybe the statistician is in a wheel chair because he didn't give in to KG's petty demands, I don't know. He does watch a lot of Family Guy, so I can imagine the violence and gore would subliminally affect him.

Stephen Jackson threatens to go in Serge Ibaka's mouth.

We all know Stephen Jackson and Metta World Peace are bros, they played in Indiana together when MWP was still Ron Artest. They went through Malice in Palace together, and even though Stephen Jackson knew he was putting his NBA career in danger, he still fought with Ron Artest because he protects his family.

So when Serge Ibaka got a little too close in MWP's mug, Captain Jack took upon twitter to call him out.

While Jackson is not the most physically intimidating player compared to the likes of Ibaka, he is a real scrappy dude and everyone he played with have all said they wouldn't want to be on the opposite side in a fight. I have seen him beat dudes to a pulp and would never doubt his abilities, but if I was Serge Ibaka how are you suppose to be scared of a guy that admitted his guilty pleasure song was Ashlee Simpsons' pieces of me.

For real. That is actually what he said in the recent interview with ESPN. And apparently he listens to it right before games. My whole world just exploded, along with the coffee that I spewed out of my mouth when I read the article. I can not believe this, a guy that got into a club fight, hit by a car at 45 mph, lost all his teeth and had plastic surgery on his lip without anesthesia listens to Ashlee Simpson to relax before games. Excuse me while I curl up into a ball and allow this emotional roller coaster that I am experience to sit for a minute.

Notes: Brooklyn Nets vs. Boston Celtics [11/28/12]

Brooklyn Nets 95 - Boston Celtics 83

The Good

Nets: Defense and they left it on the whole game. Boston could not shoot without a hand in their face or a Net right beside them. The full court press by the second unit killed the Celtics. Barbosa and company didn't even know how to respond. In the other end, their shots were falling, the pick and roll with Deron opened everybody up. Even Jerry Stackhouse went 5 of 6 from the corner three, it helps when no one was ever there to bother him at all.

Celtics: The interior defense completely shut down Brook Lopez (9 points). Kevin Garnett, and Jason Collins did not give Brook any breathing space, every time he got the ball, he was immediately bodied up and forced into a tough shot. They held Brooklyn to only 38 points in the paint, no one in a black jersey wanted to go inside.

The Bad

Nets: I didn't particularly like the play that involved Gerald Wallace bringing the ball down. They ran this play a few times, where Deron Williams will be at the baseline, waiting for a off ball screen to come up and get the ball back from Wallace. It usually ends with the defenders on Williams, and a open shot for Gerald, which is not an ideal offensive weapon.

In the second half, they stopped moving the ball, and resorted to iso-ball. Plays were thrown out the window, everyone just stood still and watched Joe Johnson dribble, while Boston creeped closer.

Celtics: Rajon Rondo got ejected from the game (So did Gerald Wallace and Brook Lopez for fighting). Without Rondo to penetrate and space the floor, the Celtics, who were already suffocated by the Brooklyn defense, had even more trouble getting a good shot. Like the Nets, they decided to not run plays and it was just chaotic.

On defense, they over helped inside too often, leaving their opponents open for easy jumpers. They were in way too deep, and had no chance to recover.
