Jeremy Lin, Klay Thompson, and Jared Dudley battles it out in Steve Nash's charity soccer game.
Steve Nash is the coolest. Just look at him, who else can go play a full game of soccer, dominate the amateur competition, raise tons of money, and not have a hair out of place? Only Steve Nash, that's who.

Chandler Parsons cheated on Jeremy Lin for Dwight Howard.
The bromance is over, you guys. Leave it to Dwight Howard to come between something so beautiful. How many calls and texts have Chandler Parsons ignored from Jeremy Lin, in his effort to woo you, Dwight? Why couldn't you just pick a place? How can you do this? I HATE YOU. I didn't care when you went back and forth with your decision, but this, this is unforgivable.
From Forbes (Via: PBT):
“Chandler was relentless,” explained a source close to the situation to FORBES. ”[Chandler] called and texted [Dwight] every day, even face-timed and would answer every question Dwight could potentially have. We would drive to his house in the hills and talk to him. Basically Chandler Parsons recruited him like Nick Saban and a 5-star defensive tackle; they hardly knew each other at beginning of process.”Chandler, this is your fault too, in a midst of your chase for Dwight, you completely forgot who was the most important person in your life, I am so telling Jeremy. I always knew you were going to break his heart. You boy band types are to never be trusted.

An inside look at Jeremy Lin's game day routine.
A really cool inside look into a NBA player's life on game day. I have always wondered what they did to prepare themselves before the game. Finding out that they don't do much at all is kind of disappointing. But the naps sound great, if only I have time for those, or any real kind of shut eye. The basketball part sounds fun too.

Jeremy Lin takes a wild pass to the head.
Jeremy Lin was just chilling, thinking about Harvard-y things like all Harvard students do and then suddenly Patrick Beverly throws a pass off of the hands of Boobie Gibson, nailing Jeremy right in the head. But not to worry, his bestest bro, Chandler Parsons was there to check up on him, because that is what best bros do. And totally not because they have a thing going on, like the entire internet community believes. To be fair they are not doing themselves any favors in these pictures and .GIFs.

Jeremy Lin loses a game of table tennis to Rockets GM, Daryl Morey.
This was over, the moment Daryl Morey stepped into this match with a dri-fit shirt on. Fact, there is nobody in this world that would wear a dri-fit shirt at an event they are terrible at. Except for P.E. teachers, but those guys can basically wear whatever they want. I don't think I have ever seen my P.E. teacher in anything that doesn't make him look like he lives at the school. Seriously, even his parent-teacher conference dress shirt resembles something he dug out of the lost and found. And to believe I actually wanted to be that guy in high school. There are not enough words to describe the amount of shame that I am feeling right now. Is this what rock bottom feels like?
Anyways, Jeremy Lin had no chance. Just a minute into this "friendly" competition, I could already tell that Morey is a far superior table tennis player. The way he adjusts his pants to get into the ready stance, speaks for itself. Not to mention that nasty backspin on his serve, pretty good for a number cruncher.

The Round Up - February 22nd, 2013.
Stats Rundown
Controversial: The battle between the Portland Trail Blazers and Los Angeles Lakers came down to the wire with some controversial calls/no-calls. Down 4 with less than 13 seconds on the clock, the Blazers in bounds the ball to Nic Batum, who hits the jumper in the corner to cut the lead. The controversy was over whether Batum's shot was a three or a two. You can decide below.
As you can see, it seemed pretty clear it was worth three points. No matter, the Blazers still had a chance to tie this game up via the foul game. Unfortunately, the Blazers would be victims to another officiating mistake.
Kobe was never called for the foul on Damian Lillard, so the Lakers improve to a 27-29 on the season, just two short of .500. Kobe scored a game-high 40 points on 15 of 23 shots. Dwight Howard, despite looking gingerly at times, snagged 16 boards and 19 points.
Blow Outs: There were a lot of guts spewed on Friday night, with 3 teams defeating their opponents by a margin of at least 25 points. After a beat down from Miami Heat on Thursday, the Chicago Bulls took care of the Charlotte Bobcats on the road. The Bulls had 37 assists on 42 field goals in the 30 point victory.
The Indiana Pacers have been cruising through their games in the first week back from the All-Star festivities. They have won their last two games by 30+ points, clinched the 2nd spot in the East, won 9 straight home games by double digits and went 10 of 14 from the three yesterday in the humiliation of the Detroit Pistons by 32 points.
Two Hands: Paul George has elastic limbs.
In spite of all of the injuries to their roster, the Boston Celtics have been able to hang onto a playoff spot. In the 25 point win against the Phoenix Suns, an unlikely hero, Jeff Green stepped up for 31 points on 11 of 14 shooting, 7 rebounds and 4 assists.
Block Party: With 17 blocks against the New Orleans Hornets, the Dallas Mavericks sets a new franchise record in the victory. Rookie Bernard James swatted 7 shots in 15 minutes to go with his 4 points and 6 rebounds. Down 1 with under 7 seconds to go, Vince Carter hits the three in Jason Smith's face to seal the deal. The bald man came off the bench for 22 points (7 of 13), and 9 rebounds to pass Gary Payton for 28th in the NBA All Time Scoring list. Dirk Nowitzski added 25 points (10 of 17) and 7 boards. Meanwhile, Ryan Anderson of the Hornets got 20 points on 7 of 11 shooting and 12 rebounds off the bench.
Wild, Wild, Russ: Russell Westbrook went off for a season high 37 points on 13 of 22 shots, 7 rebounds and 9 assists against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Wolves kept the game close in the beginning with help from the bench, but Russ could not be stopped. Kevin Durant chipped in 27 points (9 of 17), 7 rebounds and 7 assists. To put things into perspective, even though Minnesota shot an above average 48 percent from the field, OKC trumped them with 58 percent and 64 percent from downtown.
New Uniform Gold: Up 10 in the 4th quarter, the San Antonio Spurs were poised win their 17th of their last 18 games. But the Golden State Warriors had other ideas. Led by Jarrett Jack, who came off the bench for 30 points on 11 of 22 shooting and 10 assists, the Warriors in the debut of their new T-Shirt jerseys, would comeback from the deficit and take it in overtime. David Lee was monstrous in this game, going off for 25 points (10 of 20), and 22 rebounds. The Spurs, known for their depth was lacking last night, with only 24 points from their second unit. Danny green, Tony Parker and Tim Duncan had to do all the heavy lifting, combining for 57 points to fall short of winning their 6th straight on the road.
Fantasy Shoutouts: Brooklyn's Brook Lopez netted 27 points (13 of 21) and 6 rebounds in the loss to the Houston Rockets, who shot 16 of 30 from beyond the arc. Isiah Thomas of the Sacramento Kings, had 30 points (9 of 18), 6 rebounds and 9 assists against the streaking Atlanta Hawks. Rudy Gay scored 17 of his 32 points in the third quarter in the Raptors win over the New York Knicks. The newly acquired swing man finished with 11 of 23 shooting and 7 rebounds.

Jeremy Lin writes the scripts for ESPN's SportCenter.
If I am correct, Jeremy Lin graduated from Harvard with an economics degree. What is this physics nonsenses coming out of his mouth, and how does that recap a basketball game? There are going to be problems when Stephen A. Smith and Skip Bayless can't comprehend those big words, Jeremy. And believe it or not, people actually listen and agree with their takes regardless of the fact that it is bias.

James Harden, Jeremy Lin and Chandler Parson's Kung Fu Handshake.
Remember when the NBA decided to be the fun police and implemented a 90 second handshake rule, to reduce the length of games for casual fans, instead of just limiting the amount of timeouts allowed. The problem is obviously at the end of the games, where 2 minutes on the game clock meant 15 more minutes before a team comes out victorious. Despite those fatuous rules NBA players have to put up with, James Harden, Jeremy Lin and Chandler Parsons made with the time they got and stuck it to the man with a somewhat creative handshake that revolves around martial arts. The video is of course accompanied by none other than the timeless classic, "Kung Fu Fighting" by Carl Douglas.

Jeremy Lin is a member of the Red Dragon Gang.
You think you know everything about Jeremy Lin after he exploded into the NBA with an amazing 2 weeks of elite level play for the New York Knicks. Well, there is more to his story, on the surface he might be a religious, hard working Harvard graduate that went undrafted out of the Ivy League and found his place in the Association during the perfect circumstances for his success. But what you didn't know was that he is a current active member of the notoriously fictional Red Dragon Gang. After a head to head collision with Larry Sanders of the Milwaukee Bucks in a game on Friday, he bled his gang logo on the side of his head.
It is not known what the Red Dragon Gang actually does, there are however, possible affiliates or other members in the NBA. According to the Basketball Index in my head, Andrei Kirilenko supposedly one of the leaders of the gang. As shown on his massive dragon tattoo, leaders are the ones riding the dragons. (Shout out to Carlos Delfino's bicep dragon.)
Even though his tattoo is based off his World of Warcraft character, it doesn't mean he is not part of the gang. Wait, it could just mean that the Red Dragon Gang might just a guild name and not a real gang, which would probably make more sense.

The James Harden and Jeremy Lin combo + Knicks Defense.

Houston Rockets 109 - New York Knicks 96
The Good
Rockets: For one night, in the place where "Linsanity" started, Jeremy Lin and his new back court partner, James Harden were able to co-exist. These two are at their best when the ball is in their hands. They thrive off the pick and roll and only one of them can find other ways to be effective away from the ball. The problem is that the better player, the one you would rather have on the ball is James Harden and you would not want him to work off the ball for Lin's benefit.
This forms a weird dynamic between the two. Jeremy Lin is not a pass first guy, he looks to score as soon as the ball gets to him. He has a bad habit of stopping his dribble once he gets covered by defense. And trying to pass out of a tough situation, in turn results in a lot of turnovers. On the other hand, James Harden likes to use the pick and roll, and go over his options before taking his shot. If you were the Rockets, based on the above descriptions of their play, who would you pick. The answer, if it was not too obvious, is Harden. He can create for his teammates and put himself in a better scoring position (See free throw attempts).
Frankly, it is too early to call this a failure. They didn't even have training camp together. They are still figuring things out on the fly, learning each others tendencies. Kevin McHale has done a better job managing minutes they share on the floor, and there are slight improvements. The key is to make Lin a better spot up shooter, which he could fix with time.
I like Houston's playoff chances in the future, they have a good group of young players. Omer Asik has looked infinity times better on offense. In his Chicago Bull days, he would shit himself if he gets the ball on offense. Either botching a lay up or kick out to a teammate without looking at the basket. Chandler Parsons is emerging as one of the better Sophomores of last year's draft. His numbers have dramatically increased and makes the Rockets look like a promising team. (In terms of Rookie development).
Knicks: There wasn't much going for the New York Knicks, except for Chris Copeland. This 28 year old rookie knows how to score and has 29 points to prove it. He is a perfect fit in this system, a stretch 4 that can hit threes will provide Knicks plenty of space. If he can remain consistent, he can be huge off the bench once Carmelo Anthony returns.
The Bad
Rockets: The defense didn't sustain for long periods, most of it was gone by the first half. Both teams turned the ball over at least 17 times and scored 20 points off the mistakes.
Knicks: Well, when your offense relies on threes and a Superstar to create opportunities, you can't really hope to win without either of them. The highly praised ball movement of the Knicks was replaced by Raymond Felton's over dribbling. Felton definitely seemed like he was trying to prove that he is better than Jeremy Lin, which ultimately led to terrible possessions. He took the first shot after every single screen, and rarely looked for his teammates. I don't even know why Steve Novak was on the floor, considering that no one ran screens for him.
On the defensive side, it was the worst performance since the last Houston loss. The Knicks are 0-2 against the Rockets (Both were blowouts). The perimeter defense is letting people go in and out at will. Felton and Kidd could not keep up and gave all of the responsibility to Tyson Chandler. Who naturally, can not do everything. The Rockets scored 52 points in the paint, just look at Jeremy Lin's shot chart. (Via: @ESPNStatsInfo)
Things weren't any better in transition, they allowed 25 fast break points. Guys were leaking out and the Knicks didn't slow anybody down. This won't entirely become a problem, the real issue was effort, they didn't seem like they wanted to win.
