The Atlanta Hawks leads all NBA teams with the most tattoos.

Hawks, really? My guess was the Knicks. DeShawn Stevenson really pulled this one out with his 5 dollar bill tattoo.
Pretty sure if we went with numbers of tattoos or percentage of body ink'd, instead of just numbers of players with tattoo(s), J.R. Smith and Chris Andersen will have entire NBA teams beat.

Even Tony Parker will not watch the Pacers-Hawks series.

You mean 48 minutes of Josh Smith throwing up bricks. Gross.
From Spurs Nation:
“I watch every game,” he said. “I’m a student of the game. I love watching the games. The playoffs, all the games are really good. You can always learn something.”
Even Atlanta-Indiana, widely regarded as the dud of the first round?
“Except that one,” he joked. “I turned that off.”
See, its not just me.

Al Horford splits the Lakers defense and yams one on Antawn Jamison.

Oh Antawn Jamison, of all the times in your career where you chose not to play defense, you just had to contest that dunk by Al Horford. Not the smartest of moves, old man. At your age, now is not the time to make changes in your career, just chill outside and get beat on back door cuts. That is who you are.

LeBron James's Pre-Game Dance.

Did you expect anything less from the greatest dancer to ever play basketball? There is no better way to warm up than getting loose to the music.

The Round Up - February 25th, 2013.

Stats Rundown
Carlos Osorio/AP Photo
Under-appreciated: It is about time that Al Horford gets some love. He has been solid all season for the Hawks, and is averaging a career high in just about every statistical category. The Florida product went off for 23 points on 10 of 13 shooting, a career high 22 rebounds to go along with his gigantic ears in the win against the Detroit Pistons. Josh Smith chipped in for another 23 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. For the Pistons, Rodney Stuckey, who has struggled all season in a misplaced role, got 22 points (10 of 17) and 5 rebounds. Jonas Jerebko came off the bench for 21 points on 9 of 12 shooting and 6 boards.

Retina Damage: It was all sorts of ugly down at the Air Canada Center, as the Washington Wizards took on the Toronto Raptors for the second time of the season. If you tuned in, you would have caught a night of horrendous shooting and glorious misplays from both teams. The Wizards shot a vomit inducing 42 percent from the field, while the Raptors shot an even worst 37 percent. There were a total of 34 turnovers in this game, and only 2 Raptors scored in the double digits. DeMar DeRozan had a game-high 25 points on 9 of 17 shooting, and 4 rebounds. Kyle Lowry added 18 points on 17 shots and if you were wondering about Rudy Gay, well, he shot a career low 1 of 10 from the field for 7 points, not the most efficient night for the swing man. The rookie, Bradley Beal of the Wiz led his team with 20 points (8 of 13) and 6 rebounds in Washington's 3rd straight victory.

Truth: The Boston Celtics maybe old and riddled with injuries, but they will always find a way to fight back. After allowing Alec Burks of the Utah Jazz to tie the game in the closing seconds to force overtime, Paul Pierce goes off for 7 straight points (a solo 7-0 run) to give Boston the win. Avery Bradley brought more than just his defense last night, helping himself to 18 points (8 of 12) and 5 rebounds in Salt Lake City. Gordon Hayward led the second unit with 26 points (7 of 16) in Utah's 4th loss in their last 5 home games, which is rare.

Fun fact - Paul Pierce is a perfect 2 for 2 when his shorts gets pulled down.

NBA JAM: Just when you thought the Lakers were starting to get back on track, they go ahead and lose to the Denver Nuggets. The score might say 119 to 108 in favor to the Nuggets, but it was certainly not all that close. Denver had their way on offense for the entire game. To put this into a perspective for those of you that missed the game, imagine if you were playing NBA JAM against someone who has never played before and you were able to keep one of your players "on fire" for the whole game because your opponent can't stop you. It was kind of like that. Denver scored 78 points in the PAINT and a season high 33 fast break points. Wilson Chandler stepped up in place of the injured Danilo Gallinari, going for 23 points on 10 of 18 shooting. Ty Lawson had 22 points (8 of 19) and 8 assists. Kobe did kobe things at the Pepsi Center, he scored 29 points (12 of 23), snagged 6 rebounds, and dished out 9 dimes to go with his clenched jaw.

The Lakers are not going to have a fun time watching any footage from this game in their next film session. But they don't really need to watch it, as with all their games, it comes down to defense, which they still don't know how to play.

Chris Bosh botches a wide open alley-oop.

Via: SB Nation
D'oh. Poor Boshtrich forgot he was a flightless bird again. Dang, those hand looking wings, not only did you make Chris Bosh look sillier than usual, you got Rashard Lewis too. It's alright though, not everything is Bosh's fault, I am sure he got a good reason for that slip-up. Maybe the slightest glimpse of Zaza's face as the Georgian center turned around, threw our favorite Avian Humanoid off, totally reasonable.

Chris wasn't the only one that whiffed a dunk yesterday, Russell Westbrook and Hasheem Thabeet both had troubles putting the basketball through the hoop.

Nate Robinson takes the Atlanta Hawks to the playground.

There are advantages of being small in the league, take this for an example. If Nate wasn't so small, he wouldn't have gotten through the terrible Atlanta trap and played a fun game of "where did the ball go" with his opponents. I reckoned that the Bulls might had a little more fun than the Hawks though, seeing that they took out ATL with ease and did it in the absence of three starters.

Adidas introduces NBA Hardwood Classics Nights with 90's Throwback Jerseys.

Adidas is bringing back the hideous jerseys from the 90's as part of the NBA Hardwood Classics Nights. These jersey will be worn for 10 games that spreads out from January 30th to March 30th.

Here's a look at the schedule:
Wednesday, Jan. 30: Los Angeles Lakers at Phoenix Suns* (ESPN)
Friday, Feb. 1: Miami Heat* at Indiana Pacers* (ESPN)
Friday, Feb. 8: Los Angeles Clippers at Miami Heat* (ESPN)
Saturday, Feb. 9: Utah Jazz at Sacramento Kings* (NBA TV)
Thursday, Feb. 14: Miami Heat* at Oklahoma City Thunder (TNT)
Wednesday, Feb. 20: Atlanta Hawks* at Miami Heat* (ESPN)
Thursday, Feb. 21: Miami Heat* at Chicago Bulls* (TNT)
Saturday, March 3: Chicago Bulls* at Indiana Pacers* (ESPN)
Sunday, March 10: Chicago Bulls* at LA Lakers (ABC)
Saturday, March 30:
Indiana Pacers* at Phoenix Suns* (NBA TV)
(asterisk marks the team wearing the retro jerseys)

We have already seen the Phoenix Suns jerseys on Wednesday when they ended the Lakers' 3 game winning streak and those turned out pretty cool. The jerseys definitely look better with the updated modern technology that removes the glossiness the uniforms once had. With that said, the Kings, Bucks and Hawks jerseys will likely still be ugly. You just can't save those.

An Atlanta Hawks fan gets his Half Court shot stuck on the rim.

What a weird week in the NBA. On Tuesday, we had Jermaine O'neal getting his lay up to stop dead right on the iron of the hoop, and now we have this. The probability of get your shot stuck like that is a million to one and the fact that he did it from half court is incredible. The Hawks organization should seriously consider giving him more than a $1000 dollars. After all, he probably will have to split it halfsies to the announcer who obviously rigged the event. You can't fool me.

Atlanta Hawks GM, Danny Ferry was fined $15,000 for snitching on Rajon Rondo.

Rocky Widner/Getty Images - Rajon Rondo really hates referees in Atlanta.
"Snitches get stitches." We all know how that saying goes, growing up you were sworn to a million unwritten rules and one of them were to never tell on your friends. If Jack broke the teacher's vase, you act like you don't know anything, even if it means the whole class get detention. But there were always one person who spills the truth to save themselves. In this case, Danny Ferry was that dude. He was fined $15,000 by the NBA for "inappropriate interaction" with the NBA officials. According to a person familiar with the situation, the Atlanta Hawks GM handed the referees a DVD, although it' contents are unclear it probably included a video of Rondo bumping the referee during the game on Saturday. Now, the funny thing was that Rondo got suspended for a game for his actions anyway, and because Danny boy decided to stick his nose in the none of your business jar, he lost a couple bucks.

If you still don't understand the concept of snitching, perhaps my friend, Huey Freeman can explain it better. The following is a clip from the Boondocks, so naturally it has NSFW language.

The Round Up - November 16th, 2012

Stats Rundown:

A lot of Nicholas Batum today, he is finally playing up to that big contract in Portland. He disassembled the Rockets with his 35 (new career high) points (13 of 19 shooting, 5 of 8 from the three), 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 blocks.

Honorable Mention: Kevin Durant lit the Hornet's nest on fire, scoring 27 points (9 of 12 shooting, 4 of 5 from the three), grabbing 9 boards and dishing out 5 dimes.

Board Monster: Zach Randolph is still leading everyone in rebounds per game this season, and showed you why again tonight, grabbing 15 rebounds, 8 of which were offensive in the victory over the New York Knicks.

Omer Asik didn't do do bad himself, 16 rebounds, 7 of them offensive in the overtime loss to the Portland Trail Blazers.

Block Party: Nicholas Batun's freakishly long arms got 5 blocks.

Butter Fingers: At the end of those freakishly long arms, the fingers of Nicholas Batums let the basketball get away from him 7 times.

Rookie Watch: Damian Lillard is the current favorite to win the ROY, leading his team past the Houston Rockets with a career high 27 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals.

Time Machine User: I don't think it is legal to put Kobe in this section anymore, he is defying the law of evolution, putting up 31 points and 6 assists in the win over the Phoenix Suns.

FROLO: More of Andrew Bynum's hair. (Via @dhm)

SHHEEEEEDDD: Just Another MANDATORY SHEED gif. Rasheed in mid season form, getting a personal foul and followed it up with his FIRST technical of the season. We can celebrate!

Maybe the first Flagrant (1) And One: Marc Gasol is excited and Rasheed Wallace got a little bit of Tony Allen's hand across his face. A lot to look out for in this video.

Close Up: J.R. Smith is giving the evil eyes to the ref.

We got our white Blake Griffin y'all: Well only in aspects that he basically get all his points on alley oops.

(Highlight of the Night) Hush Big Baby don't you cry: The Detroit Pistons gonna dunk on you, sigh.
