Iman Shumpert responds to Kendrick Lamar's verse on "Control" with his own track.

Hey Iman, I think it is wise for a NBA player to stay out of this one. I mean you are good, in comparison to every athlete that tried their hand at rapping, but not like real rapper good. You still have cool hair though.

Kevin Durant loses Baron Davis's money and to Metta World Peace's team at the Drew League.

And this is the short story of how Kevin Durant helped Baron Davis (Team LAUFND) lose $50,000 dollars to The Game (Team Money Gang) on some silly bet. So not clutch.

Tyson Chandler has a pair of creepy thin chicken legs.

WHAT. ON. EARTH?! THEY ARE ABOUT THE SAME SIZE OF HIS FOREARMS. HOW DO THEY EVEN CARRY A 7 FOOT FRAME? AHHH, I CAN'T UN-SEE THIS NOW. THIS IS AN EVOLUTIONARY MIRACLE.

Blake Griffin gets no love from Chris Paul, Carmelo and friends.

Considering that there is a 15 hour time zone difference between China and Los Angeles, and this being a 14 hour return flight from their Jordan China tour... go to sleep, Blake.

Blake Griffin, Carmelo Anthony and Chris Paul raps to Warren G's "Regulate" in Taiwan.

These guys are in Taiwan right now as part of their Jordan China tour, and I guess this is how they pass the time. Carmelo looked just a little too hyped for not even knowing the lyrics, but at least he participated.

Metta World Peace's crazy tweets were just a way to get Metta some air-time on TV.

Prepare yourself for the worse news of the NBA Off-Season.

I can't believe it, guys. All those insane tweets about burgers and oranges were all planned to get Metta some free publicity on ESPN and blogs. We (or at least I) have all been played. Thanks for nothing, Metta. And I really wanted to believe this was real too.

Now, I can't even look at his twitter page the same way again. Infinite sad faces. There goes the summer.

Chris Copeland is considering bronzing his rookie Disney Princesses backpack.

(Screencap via: NBA.com)
When you go undrafted and had to go play abroad for 5 years to finally get noticed by a NBA team, it would only make sense that your first official rookie hazing will always be something to cherish. Even if it was wearing a pink Disney Princesses backpack everywhere.

From SLAM:
Despite his age (28), Copeland wasn't spared from your standard rookie hazing: Marcus Camby gifted him with a small pink Disney Princess backpack, which was consistently glued to his back as he walked in and out of arenas. “I’m keeping that for life,” Cope laughs. “But seriously, it means a lot to me. I might bronze it or something. At first I was like, Are you serious? And when we’d go out people would laugh at me yell jokes and stuff. But when I really look back at what it took to be able to put on that backpack, I’ll never get rid of it.”
Not sure that can actually be done, but he can try with all the money he is going to get as a restricted free agent.

Iman Shumperts models new orange alternate New York Knicks jersey.

Nothing is official yet. Although Iman did remove the photo above from his instagram after a few hours. Via: Reddit
YES. NOW THIS, THIS IS ORANGE DONE RIGHT. Took you long enough, Knicks.

Iman Shumpert favors his flat top over Norris Cole's.

I am on Team Norris Cole. Norris's hi top fade may not be as tall as Iman's, but at least he doesn't look like the eraser end of a no. 2 pencil.

The Atlanta Hawks leads all NBA teams with the most tattoos.

Hawks, really? My guess was the Knicks. DeShawn Stevenson really pulled this one out with his 5 dollar bill tattoo.
Pretty sure if we went with numbers of tattoos or percentage of body ink'd, instead of just numbers of players with tattoo(s), J.R. Smith and Chris Andersen will have entire NBA teams beat.

The story of how Larry Johnson became "Grandmama."

I don't recall much of Larry Johnson's career, probably due to the fact he was drafted a year before I was born, but from I could see on YouTube, his Converse Grandmama commercials were pretty cool. I mean, the initial idea was obviously better, with a possible Frankenstein angle, it's just too bad it never came into fruition.

Remembering Jason Kidd. Happy Retirement!

Only the greatest photo of Jason Kidd.Via: @SportsNation
The following is an excerpt of a post I recently wrote for the King James Gospel, if you would like to read the rest, please click the link below.

After 19 years in the NBA, Jason Kidd announced his retirement today. And it kind of sucks. While Kidd isn't one of my most favorite players, he was certainly one of the most exciting to watch during the early 2000's, and it sucks to watch one of the greatest point guards of basketball history, go out in his worst season ever, not to mention his scoring drought in his final 10 games, where he missed all of his 18 attempts (including a few brutal layup misses).

But let's not forget, before upsetting the Miami Heat in 2011 for his first and only championship, with the Dallas Mavericks, and playing his final season with the New York Knicks, Jason Kidd was a phenomenon, a new-age point guard, who had the court vision of no other, and of course, the ridiculous passing ability to...
