NBA Rookies put on a dunk showcase at their photo-shoot.

Here are the best of them.

Archie Goodwin of the Phoenix Suns throwing down a reverse between-the-legs dunk.

Tony Mitchell of the Detroit Pistons doing some nasty stuff.

And lastly, we have a Tim Hardway Jr. (NYK) to Tony Mitchell (DET) to Trey Burke (UTA) double alley-oop one handed slam. C-C-C-COMBO.

Reggie Jackson breaks Summer League record with 35 points, 23 of which in the 4th.

I know, I know. It's just Summer League. But scoring 23 of his 35 points in the 4th quarter to break a Summer League record is quite impressive. Reggie Jackson is baaaaaddd man.

Rasheed Wallace is already yelling "Ball Don't Lie" on his first day as asst. coach.

You might as well just hand over all of your money now. Told you dudes.

No, really, you guys. It's true. And it is going to be the best thing ever, probably.

From ESPN:
Former NBA player Rasheed Wallace has agreed to a two-year deal to join the Detroit Pistons' coaching staff and was on the bench Monday during the team's summer league game against the Boston Celtics.
Wallace also had a notorious reputation for being one of the most volatile and temperamental players in the league. He routinely led the league in technical fouls and finished with 317 for his career. Moments before his coaching debut Monday, Wallace said he was ready for a change of pace and joked he would remain calm in his new job.
"I'm not expending the energy out there, running back and forth, [telling referees], 'I'm out here busting my [tail] and you're not giving me a call,'" Wallace said about keeping his emotions in check as an assistant coach. "Being over there on the sideline, you try to be more of a motivational inspiration for the kids."
Yea okay, Sheed. You are not getting this one over anybody. Not even your player could vouch for you.

I am now taking any over/under bets on the number of "ball don't lie(s)" and technical fouls per game. My guess would be ALL OF THEM, because you know, he's Sheed.

Radio personality, Dan Patrick may have caused the Grant Hill-Jason Kidd ROY tie.

Random NBA trivia fact: Grant Hill and Jason Kidd were co-rookies of the year in 1995, the one of three times the honor has been shared in NBA History. The two other times were Dave Cowens and Geoff Petrie in 1971, and Elton Brand and Steve Francis in 2000.

Don't feel too bad, Dan Patrick, at least they both got their trophies.

DeAndre Jordan re-enacts his dunk on Brandon Knight.

Sorry Brandon Knight, as much as I want to feel bad for you, and I really do, I guess. I just can't seem to find a single shred of sympathy to do so. This is just too good.

Get out of the way next time, dude. Or not, totally up to you.

A 2013 Retirement Tribute to Rasheed Wallace's Last NBA Season.

Thank you, Rasheed Wallace. Even though your last season in the league didn't end the way, anyone would have wanted, your second return will still remain unforgettable. I will miss you, dude.

The Tragedy Of Brandon Knight Part 4: Brandon Meets Nikola Pekovic "The Bear."

After spending much of his past couple of months in the hospital to recover from a head injury caused by the fists of Metta World Peace, surgery that put back the shatter pieces of his ankles broken by Kyrie Irving and going under therapy to rid of the nightmares that replays the night where DeAndre Jordan made him into a highly ridiculed internet meme after nearly killing him on a rather exciting dunk, you would think Brandon would finally catch a break in the final weeks of the regular season, but things just keep getting worst for the young fella.

What could you have possibly done in your past life to anger the Basketball Gods? I mean you must have done something horrible like raiding an entire village or worst, going through an express checkout with more than the limited items and proceeding to pay in all change without any shame, as everyone in line wishes death upon you. At least Brandon read up on his bear survival guide, everyone knows that when dealing with a bear, you must pretend that you are no longer living. There wasn't much he could have done anyways, it's not like you would get up after getting bulldozed by a human bear.

Jose Calderon nearly walks into the wrong locker room.

Awww. You can't really blame Jose, he spent the last 8 and a half seasons as a Toronto Raptor, so it is only natural for him to walk right into the Raptors locker room. Don't know how his new Detroit Piston teammates will feel about all of this though, definitely not the greatest team bonding moment there.

Andre Drummond misses everything on two consecutive free throws.

Shooting an airball from the free throw line is one of basketball's most embarrassing things ever, but to do it consecutively is an actual rare feat. And Piston's rookie, Andre Drummond should be proud or ashamed, which ever you feel is appropriate, to join the elite ranks of Blake Griffin and others, whose ugly mishaps will be forever immortalized on YouTube.

DeAndre Jordan laid out Brandon Knight with the Dunk of the Season.

It's OVER. This is the Dunk of the Season, ladies and gentlemen. My condolences to the Knight family, I am sorry that Brandon had to go this way, but he will never be forgotten for his brave attempt to break up the play. Jokes aside, it hasn't been the greatest 2013 for Mr. Knight so far. He started his new year getting his ankles broken by Kyrie Irving at the NBA All-Stars Rising Stars Challenge and then this happens to him. At least his team is doing alright.....ooh wait. Best of luck, dude. The internet won't be forgiving.

Wizards broadcast team mistakes Trevor Ariza's airball for the game winning basket.

I guess knuckle-headedness spreads beyond the Washington Wizards basketball team. In their defense, I thought the shot was good too, but they should have picked it up as soon as the Detroit Pistons threw up their emphatic fist pumps. Some fans looked like they thought it went in as well, but they won't be too crushed to know that it didn't fall. They ARE cheering for the Wizards after all. Disappointment is the norm for them. (I kid, the Wiz have be great since John Wall's return, they are about 2-3 pieces and a good coach short from playoff contending.)

Will Bynum ejected for punching Tyler Hansbrough in the gut.

Not sure it was the greatest idea for Will Bynum, who is approximately 4 foot and a half to pick a fight with a guy that is twice his height and is nicknamed "Psycho T." I don't doubt that Tyler Hansbrough deserved what was coming to him, as he is known for being an irritant and an occasional cheap shot thrower. But Will has to get better at choosing his fights. He has no chance against that psychopath and it is not worth it in a back to back blow out loss. The Palace doesn't need it, your wallet doesn't need it.
