Kyrie Irving and Nate Robinson goes head to head at Nike Pro City.

Kyrie Irving finished with 47 points and got the W. Nate Robinson scored 44 points and won the hearts of every short person ever. Summer league defense is still the greatest.

Random NBA Photo of the Day: Shaq lying on top of Joakim Noah.

"Shhh, just let it happen, Joakim" - Shaq, probably... not? Via: Reddit
Getting squished by a 7 foot, 350 pound (I know it says 325 in his playing days, but this is in his Cleveland years, dude moved like he got shot in the legs) monster will do this to a man. I feel for you, Joakim. I once had judo sparring practice in gym class with a 6 foot 2, slightly obese 250-something pound man, (keep in mind, I am only 5'8") that nearly crushed my rib cage. He also drenched me in his sweat. So, my traumatic experience wasn't too different from yours, bro.

Kyrie Irving's NBA Live 14' cover and my tragic story.

I still remember it vividly, the last time I played NBA Live was in 07', I was using the Phoenix Suns (because at that time, the Steve Nash to Shawn Marion fast break alley-oop combo was nearly unstoppable even on the highest difficulty), and was playing against a friend who was using the Miami Heat. The game was close mostly due to the fact that neither of us could play defense (or hit any free throws), and it went down to the wire. Up 2 with merely 3 seconds left, I thought I had the my bragging rights in the bag and I was ready to go all up in his ear too. But 2 seconds of choppy animation later, video game Shaq launches a half court shot, wins the game, ruins my life for the next two weeks, and that was the last time I ever played a NBA Live video game. To this day, I still haven't forgotten the animation of a grieving Steve Nash, pounding his chest in pain. It broke my little Canadian heart.

Anyway, as you can see, Kyrie Irving is on the cover of NBA Live 14' and he looks super old.

Here's a video of his introduction to the game.

Hate you, NBA Live.

Another photo of Andrew Bynum's crazy hair.

Mad scientist, yo. Via: Reddit
Cleveland, I know you are not the greatest at making the best of a highly favorable situation, but take this opportunity, and make an official Andrew Bynum troll doll, now. And when they sell out (which they will, make sure you release limited edition hairstyles), then you can go back to making bobble-heads but instead of just putting springs in the head, you place them in the knees too, for realism of course, and totally not as a sick joke that I am probably over-doing.

Random NBA .GIF of the Day: Lance Stephenson gets slapped in the face.

What did the five fingers say to the face? Via: SB Nation
"Oh that's not the ball? My bad." - Marreese Speights immediately after playing incredibly terrible help defense. Just a little off on the timing there, dude.

Deron Williams dunks for the first time this season. 5000 year old, Jerry Stackhouse dunked too.

He finally did it, guys. Deron Williams finally got past the trauma that Blake Griffin left him after obliterating his first dunk attempt earlier in the season and dunked for the first time all season. It's been a long road to recovery since the aforementioned traumatic experience that sent the Brooklyn Nets point guard to the ground with a sprained wrist.  He still sees Blake Griffin catching him in mid air and snatching the basketball out of his hands at night, and often struggles to fall asleep when a flash of red hair appears in his mind. But Deron has fought through it all and is now ready to get his revenge. Of course to properly get ready for such a task, he had to practice, even though the dunk came against the Cleveland Cavaliers, it doesn't take away that Mr. Panther Tattoo finally got past his ankle issues, started to actually look like his former all-star self since the break and most importantly rediscovered his jumping ability. That is unless someone old, like 5000 years old, we are talking walking human fossil old, someone like Jerry Stackhouse dunked on the same team on the same night.

Oh wait, that did happen.

Cav's Rookie, Dion Waiters receives a popcorn surprise in his car.

Via: Dion Waiter's instagram
With just a little over 2 weeks left of regular season NBA basketball, you would think the rookie hazing would have been done by now, but the Cleveland Cavaliers had other ideas for their rookie and unfortunately Dion Waiters and his Escalade was the victim of the latest popcorn prank. Good luck with that dude, there is no way you can clean that up. Maybe Marshon Brooks can help you out.

Jeremy Lin takes a wild pass to the head.

Jeremy Lin was just chilling, thinking about Harvard-y things like all Harvard students do and then suddenly Patrick Beverly throws a pass off of the hands of Boobie Gibson, nailing Jeremy right in the head. But not to worry, his bestest bro, Chandler Parsons was there to check up on him, because that is what best bros do. And totally not because they have a thing going on, like the entire internet community believes. To be fair they are not doing themselves any favors in these pictures and .GIFs.

Landry Fields nails a mop boy in the head on his full court heave.

Here I thought Landry was a good guy, but this dude didn't even apologize for shaving more hair off the innocent mop boy man. This was not what you were paid $19 million (over the course of three years) to do.

Mickael Pietrus videobombs Raptors' broadcast with his spectacular dance moves.

The Toronto Raptors signed Mickael Pietrus early in the season to get an offensive boost for their injury depleted roster. Since then, he has only played 18 games, averaging less than 6 points per contest in 21 minutes of play. He's been out since January 11th with a knee injury and there is no scheduled time for his return. It's alright though, if he keeps interrupting broadcasts with his hypnotic dance moves, he can stay out for as long as he likes. Props to the Raptor's color commentators for remaining professional as some weird French guy sticks his face between your game preview. Takes a lot of self-control to not burst into laughter, I would have exploded on the spot (not literally, you guys).

Kyrie Irving got his handles from practicing with a basketball inside a plastic bag.

Excuse me while I go outside to dribble a basketball inside a plastic bag. The next time you will see me, I will be in the NBA, crossing everyone up. It's been real, this whole blogging thing has been fun but the league calls. Don't worry, I will never forget you guys. I love all of you. Thank you for your support.

Hey LeBron, I know the news of my sudden announcement for the 2014 draft sends you trembling into the ground, I just hope you will be ready to defend your title, if, you happen to win it this year.

Tristan Thompson gets jiggy at the NBA Rising Stars Challenge.

This by no means is as good as Shaq's moves a few years back in the dance-off between him, Dwight Howard and LeBron James, but it's not too bad. At least there weren't any giant snakes and robots involved.

Kyrie Irving broke all of Brandon Knight's ankles on a crossover.

You didn't miss much if you didn't catch the BBVA Rising Stars game yesterday. Team Chuck completely dominated Team Shaq and it was over in the first half. For those of you that turned it off early, you did however, miss the most exciting sequence of the game. Out of no where, down 25 points, with less than 6 minutes to play, Kyrie Irving decided to take it upon himself to make things more interesting. Guarded by fellow sophomore Brandon Knight, the former Rookie of the Year initiated a game of one on one between the two and boy, did it get crazy.

These two went at each for a few more possession after that, but Kyrie, despite losing the game, came out on top as the real winner. I really hope there is an ice pack and a counselor in the locker room waiting for Brandon. Dude will need some serious help to get over this. Especially now that there is this thing called the internet, where everyone is just a click away from watching the assassination of his ankles.

Kyrie Irving accepts Byron Scott's 3 point shooting challenge.

Getty Images
Sometimes when you are on a losing team, times are going to get rough, but you can still have fun with it. The Cleveland Cavaliers are a horrible basketball team, if it weren't for Kyrie Irving, this team probably wouldn't break 20 wins. Kyrie is a special player, if everything does go accordingly, he will become one of premier superstars of the NBA. Selected to his first All-Star game and to the Foot Locker 3 Point contest, the duke product has his hands full this weekend. His coach, also a former 3 Point Contestant wanted to prepare his best player for the competition, so he challenged him to a shoot out after practice on Tuesday (today). It was suppose to be a friendly contest, but Kyrie, as competitive as he is, had some trash talk ready for his coach.
"I just read something today where coach Scott unofficially challenged me," Irving said ... "That's something a third-place winner would do, go behind my back and challenge me... I'm looking forward to it. I'm getting up early and doing my pushups."
Irving, who will take part in the 3-point shootout during All-Star Weekend for the first time, was referring to Scott's third-place finish in the contest in 1988. Scott came in last in his first appearance in 1987.
Whoa, shots fired. I wouldn't recommend doing push-ups before shooting, Kyrie. Even though, you will likely come out victorious, it is not much of an accomplishment beating a 51 year old ex-NBA player. Chances are that Byron won't be able to finish shooting his shots anyway, his back will probably lock up on him and he will end up needing all of the ice packs for the arthritis acting up in multiple body parts. Save yourself the trouble.

Javale McGee, Brandon Jennings and Tristan Thompson leads last nights' NBA bloopers.

The NBA is great for many reasons. The basketball aspect alone is great, but nothing is better than professional basketball players messing up and making themselves look like idiots.

Number 1: Javale McGee does the worst flop in the world. (Via: @SBNation)
There is not really much to say. Javale McGee is who he is, and he will always be awesome. In the aww-look-at-the-dumb-things-he-does-to-make-us-laugh kind of way and totally not you-are-a-great-player-that-makes-the-right-decisions way. Let's face it. If Javale McGee actually becomes a consistently good basketball player, we will all be miserable.

Number 2: Tristan Thompson betrays his teammates and passes the basketball to his opponent. (Via: SB Nation)
You have eyes for a reason. Think before you jump stop into traffic, young one. At least force one up to try for a foul call.

Number 3: Brandon Jennings is not very good with time.

Down three points after Charlie Villanueva drains the shot from behind the arc, the Milwaukee Bucks had one last chance to tie game. With 9.7 seconds left on the game clock, plenty of time to get a good shot off, Brandon Jennings goes haywire and takes a step in from the half court line to launch a potential game tying three at the 5 second mark that would completely miss the rim. Looks like that max-deal you are looking for, won't come anytime soon.
