Kyrie Irving's NBA Live 14' cover and my tragic story.

I still remember it vividly, the last time I played NBA Live was in 07', I was using the Phoenix Suns (because at that time, the Steve Nash to Shawn Marion fast break alley-oop combo was nearly unstoppable even on the highest difficulty), and was playing against a friend who was using the Miami Heat. The game was close mostly due to the fact that neither of us could play defense (or hit any free throws), and it went down to the wire. Up 2 with merely 3 seconds left, I thought I had the my bragging rights in the bag and I was ready to go all up in his ear too. But 2 seconds of choppy animation later, video game Shaq launches a half court shot, wins the game, ruins my life for the next two weeks, and that was the last time I ever played a NBA Live video game. To this day, I still haven't forgotten the animation of a grieving Steve Nash, pounding his chest in pain. It broke my little Canadian heart.

Anyway, as you can see, Kyrie Irving is on the cover of NBA Live 14' and he looks super old.

Here's a video of his introduction to the game.

Hate you, NBA Live.

Kent Bazemore is getting motion-captured for bench reactions in NBA 2K14.

I know what I said about NBA video games, but I am now totally getting this. Motion captured bench reactions—you know I have my team of All-NBA bench performers ready.

At guards: Kent "The bench-nergizer (Because he keeps going and going)" Bazemore, and Patty "Towel Guy" Mills.

At forward: Ronny "The Mad Man" Turiaf

At center: Karate expert, Robert Sacre

And for the remaining empty spots, I am taking the Denver Nuggets to fill up the rest of the roster.

Boom, I just made the internet dream team. (You are more than welcome to borrow this team, but only if you name it after me. It's only the right thing to do.)

LeBron James will be on the cover of NBA 2K14.

Wait, does LeBron still do the chalk thing? Thought he dropped it after Cleveland. Via: @2KSports
It took 10 years, but LeBron James finally gets his first video game cover. While the old me would have been super excited for the new release, this me, has already given up on virtual basketball after computer Derek Fisher scored 8 contested three pointers in a row, right in my player's face.

Conan throws an alley-oop to Blake Griffin in Video Game form.

That now makes the greatest red head basketball duo since ever. Also probably the first and last red head to red head alley-oop. The reason why Conan was traded because there is a NBA rule where you are only allowed to have one red head per team in order maintain competitive balance. When Scalabrine left, it only makes sense for the Celtics to sign Conan to become their new man and personality wise he would be a perfect fit. He should however, consider changing his number, 20 is not very hot right now in Boston.

Bonus clip of faces that Blake Griffin makes when he is dunking:
