LeBron James has his own special Sprite can.

Hey LeBron, if you really want to thank Sprite, maybe you could enter the next Sprite Slam Dunk contest? Please? I know you will probably respond with a "no," but it's worth a shot.

Metta World Peace responded to his amnesty with oranges.

And no, it doesn't make any sense.

Nothing is confirmed yet, but seeing that Metta is due for 7.7 million next year and has gone completely insane, it is going to happen.

Random NBA .GIF of the Day: Dwight Howard, Cookie Monster.

Here you go, I think we all deserve a cookie (or a laugh) after what Dwight and the media put us through. Thank goodness, that's over. Please never do this again.

Dwight Howard offered free chicken fingers for life, to sign with the Dallas Mavericks.

This is how Texas do it.

From the Dallas Morning News:
On Monday (the start of NBA free agency), Raising Cane’s will kick off a campaign inviting Mavericks fans to help persuade Howard to sign with Dallas. The company has leased six electronic billboards to help publicize its cooked-up offer to Howard.
Raising Cane’s marketing manager Adam Reed says that if Howard signs with the Mavericks, “he will be welcome to come by any of our (20) local restaurants to enjoy seriously delicious chicken fingers at any time, on us, for the rest of his life.”
How much would that actually total up if Dwight happened to take full advantage of the offer? Brian Townsend of the Mavs Blog did the math.
Howard is 27. The average American male life expectancy is 76. That would be 49 years – 2,548 weeks – of free grub for Howard.
Figure the least he would order in one sitting would be the Caniac 6-finger combo, which is $10.80 including tax. If Howard ate one Caniac a week for 49 years, it would cost Cane’s a reasonable $27,518.40.
But if Howard really took advantage and hit the drive-through every day, he’d amass $192,628 worth of Caniacs.
That is if Dwight could live up to 76, eating those chicken fingers. Forget Caniacs, Dwight should be worried about Cardiac... arrest. (BOOM. TOTALLY NAILED IT.) But seriously, Dwight should really consider the offer, a life time supply of free chicken fingers could easily feed his 8 baby mamas, the children he produced, and any future potentially unwanted offspring, because Dwight obviously hates every form of contraception.

Like one of my closest friends would say, you can never go wrong with breakfast at 2 in the morning. NEVER.

One of Richard Hamilton's favorite meals is a bowl of Top Ramen and Cheese Doodles.

GROSS. Via: Richard Hamilton's Instagram
Dude is a NBA Champion and is projected to make 5 million next year, yet one of his favorite dishes ever remains a bowl of Top Ramen and Cheese doodles. Don't get me wrong, I am all about weird food combinations, but even as a person that has had ketchup on just about everything, this is really strange. Why together?

Chris Bosh is preparing for Game 5 with cartoons and cereal.

Steve Mitchell/USA TODAY Sports
LeBron James wasn't the only Heat that suffered a mild ankle sprain during the third quarter of Heat's Game 4 loss to the Indiana Pacers, his pet T-Rex, was also a victim of the excessive stretching of the ankle muscles. But unlike LeBron, who walked it off in a matter of seconds (resembling the regenerative skills of a cyborg), Bosh took a little more time laying on the floor (because he has an actual pain threshold), before returning to play in the 4th quarter without out any signs of struggle.

While our favorite video bomber declined to go into detail about his injured right ankle after the game, he did assure us that he was fine and would be ready in time for Game 5. From ESPN:
“It's not [an] issue,” Bosh said. “It's the playoffs. You're going to have ups and downs. It's not about what happens, but it's about how you respond. I'm just going to watch some cartoons, eat some cereal and get ready for Game 5.”
Chris Bosh is right, not just about basketball, but life in general. I can't remember the last time eating cereal and watching cartoons didn't solve my problems. Then again, the last time I did that was when I was in elementary school and the only thing I really worried about was, not waking up early enough to catch the entire Saturday cartoon marathon. Still, he has a point. In fact, I think I am going to do that right now. You know, for Bosh.

Shaq has his own line of sodas now.

I wonder which one is Kobe's favorite? Via: @SHAQ
There are a few things very wrong about this:

  1. AriZona made an actual line of Shaq sodas.
  2. Shaq's face is on it.
  3. It's creepy.
  4. There are real people that will drink it.
  5. Shaq is for some reason, still very marketable, which means he will likely stay on "Inside the NBA" for a very long time. /Cries
  6. Cream sodas are super gross. (Especially when warm.)
  7. SERIOUSLY, WHY IS THIS A THING?

Anthony Davis is obsessed with pizza.

A slice of the unibrow, please.
It's a known fact that NBA players love pizza, I mean, really, who doesn't. Seriously, if you don't like pizza, we can't ever be friends. Ever. Some NBA players, even eat pizza right before games as their pre-game meal, not the healthiest thing to do, but it didn't stop one guy from dropping 81 points on the Raptors. New Orleans Hornets' rookie, Anthony Davis is no exception, he also loves his pizza, so much that you can not even mention a certain local pizzeria restaurant chain (Reginelli's) around him without setting off his inner need for those Italian delicacies.

From Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports:
"He eats pizza, man. It's like if anyone says, 'P … I' and then, 'Pizza,' he perks up," Hornets coach Monty Williams said. "This dude has this fascination with pizza. It's unreal."
There are however, downsides to his addiction. As a NBA player, it is his job to stay in shape and eat healthy foods to help him perform at the highest level. Even though Davis is trying to gain weight to survive in the NBA, stuffing his face with slices of meat and cheese is definitely not the right way to add a few pounds. As a fellow pizza connoisseur/lover, that will eat anything with pineapple and cheese on it, I can sympathize his sacrifice. But he is from Chicago, which is the unofficial pizza city of the United States, at least that is what I have heard up here in Canada, so isn't it criminal for him to be cheating with New Orleans pizza? That is how it works, right?

NBA players love their peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

This is no surprise, everyone loves peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, even the allergic will admit it. And with all things considered, it is probably the best pre-game meal any athlete can have. With a perfect balance of carbs and protein, there is no wrong. I am sure Big Baby would agree with me. Okay, maybe he is not the best example, considering his massive stature, but there is something about PB&J's that makes it magical and if you are still struggling to grasp the idea, perhaps these kids can get through to you. The only thing that I am really worried about is the breath of the players afterwards, it is not going to be pleasant for anyone. A sweaty 200+ pound man with peanut butter breath is not someone you would want to play basketball with. Trust me, I know this.

Richard Hamilton received the greatest birthday cake in NBA cake history.

Via: Richard Hamilton's Instagram
This is incredible. That is all cake. ALL. CAKE. How is this even possible? How do you turn flour into this? I don't understand. The details are insane. The Jumpman logo, speckles on the Air Jordan V's, back pattern of the trading cards and the display of Rip Hamilton's hair loss at different career stages are scary accurate. For those of you who still dare to argue about the supremacy of cake over pies, this ends all competitions. Game over, pies. I wonder how Rip went about eating his cake though, where do you start? Hopefully, no one decided it was funny to smash this piece of pastry art onto his face, and if they did, I hope he was wearing his mask.

Michael Beasley ate chicken and fries before basketball games.

Some players swear by never eating before games and if they do, it will usually be a light snack. But for a few specific individuals, they will have pizza right before the game and maybe go off for 81 points against the Toronto Raptors. Not everyone is the same, in Michael Beasley' case, we might have found why he has not played up to his expectations and it just so happens to be related to food.

From the Hang Time Blog:
As Michael Beasley slammed a chicken tenders basket at his locker about 90 minutes before his Phoenix Suns were to face the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday, he seemed more pleased with the savory french fries than digging up the past yet again.
“These fries are good, man,” Beasley said between shoveling handfuls of the greasy goodness into his mouth.
Have you ever played basketball after eating greasy food? How can you play at your best with your stomach feeling bloated, mouth filled with grease residue and possible constipation? You can't and neither can the former number 2 overall pick.
After rifling through the chicken finger basket and dressing for the game while rapping out loud the inaudible lyrics streaming through his headphones, Beasley managed 12 points on 4-for-10 shooting and four rebounds. He recorded a team-worst minus-17 in 20 minutes and the Suns lost for the 30th time in 45 games.
Stick with the simple carbs, man. I am sure the Suns nutritionist have super foods that can help you perform better, after all this organization did extend Steve Nash's health and revived Grant Hill's career.

Aaron Gray and Glen Davis ate each other's faces.

You see what happens when you don't get Glen Davis, his peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I told you to feed Big Baby when he asks for it. Now poor Aaron Gray has to pay for your mistake, dude is probably mentally scarred for life. No amount of therapy can fix this.

Glen "Big Baby" Davis Wants His Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich Now.

Glen Davis doesn't kid around when it comes to food. He might be one of the goofiest guys in the NBA, but you don't ever want to tick him off by not preparing the sandwiches he requested for. If you want to live, you will have to sacrifice a few of your groceries. Legend has it that every day, a giant baby will rise from his slumber and request food from the good citizens of Orlandogard. Citizens are asked to prepare a different meal 12 times a day and if they fail to comply to his demands, men will be lost.

FEED HIM. FEED HIM NOW BEFORE HE RAMPAGES THROUGH YOUR VILLAGE AND EAT YOUR CHILDREN.
