The Boston Celtics Gave Themselves Dog Nicknames.

A few members of the Boston Celtics decided to give themselves new nicknames.

After Kevin Garnett dubbed the back court duo of Avery Bradley and Courtney Lee "The Pit Bulls," the two guards have come up with nicknames of their own.

This week Bradley and Lee were discussing the reference and decided to call the rest of the Boston Celtics "The German Shepherds."

Lee expanded on the nickname and branched out for other players. He referred to Garnett as a rottweiler and Brandon Bass and Jeff Green as black labs.

Any weak links?

"No poodles," said Lee.

It must be ruff, for the Celtics right now, losing Rondo and Sullinger definitely shepherds (hurt) the team that is hounding for a playoff spot. Stay PAWSitive, Celtics fans.
